The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed concerning the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider stage created for intervention activities a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
